In our Holy Scriptures it is frequently described how dreams and visions serve as a crucial means of communication between the Holy Trinity, the Heavenly Hosts, and mankind. Whether the divine presence is an angel, Jehovah, or Christ Jesus, their revelation appears before those who have made themselves available to receive their Word. For those who believe in his name, dreams and visions are Christian experiences, the purpose of which is to guide our transformation as we seek to escape from the iron grip of material reality and return to the heavenly realms and realize the promise of eternal life.
In this age it is fashionable to question, sometimes even deny that the Lord is involved in the life of the individual human being. Even among Christians there are many who say that this involvement no longer happens; they posit that the Holy Trinity has withdrawn and mankind has been left alone to contend with the challenges of this world. However, the cumulative Christian experience suggests that these views are completely wrong. Christians have long believed and known that the Lord is fully engaged with mankind; that his presence is a fact, and that this is true, not only for ages past, but also in the present, and for all ages to come.
While the Lord is working day and night to gather the faithful, the faithful are, at the same time, charged with reaching out to him with a sincere, dedicated, and sustained effort centered on faith and devotion. In this, two powerful lines of force join; one from above projecting downward and the other from below projecting upward. The union of these two lines of force creates a bond between Jesus Christ and aspiring individual. His faith and devotion to mankind is assured, but our faith and devotion must be demonstrated every moment of every day. It is an error to imagine that this alignment just happens willy-nilly; in truth it requires deliberate effort with a clear, powerful, and sustained intention. Our scriptures are very clear on this point. Our mission at TTM is to assist the faithful direct their attention to the spiritual dimensions of their life, to learn how to develop reliable perception in those realms, and to grasp the meaning of these experiences.
With this, the inner teacher begins to stir. When this happens we experience reassurance and hope; for we learn by direct experience that as we turn to the Lord, he reaches out to us. With a dedicated effort those who listen and act according to his will can seize the initiative and move away from their lowly earth-bound station and, with his Grace, become an authentic witness who stands with confidence before the Lord.
